Winter at the Lake

Winter brings not just shorter days and freezing cold nights but also a sense of wonder. ~ Hints Of Life

Canadian geese at the Lake, Central Park

Just another winter day. While on a walk to the Lake at Central Park I was greeted by a couple of Canadian geese swimming in the icy water. The scene seemingly known yet surreal as the geese swam rhythmically at the Lakeside.

The limitless blue sky, tall naked trees lined along the ramble, the hike uphill, the heart racing and the quiet in the woods – a sign of nature hibernating until life sprouts again in the Spring. Sometimes, winter calls for you to walk the path alone, and still is beautiful.
